Hi Backers,
This is for any of you who have still not received your package from Ideaspatcher.
I know I provided some communication I had with Ideaspatcher in my previous update, but I wanted to provide a more in-depth explanation for why some of the games have still not reached some of you. I would have provided this communication earlier, but because it affected so few of you and because Ideaspatcher reassured me over and over again that the problem would be fixed asap, I decided to not share the specifics of the problems Ideaspatcher was having. I was told to provide the [email protected] contact point for anyone who was missing/didn't receive their package and that it would be taken care of. Yanis (my contact at Ideaspatcher) also told me that only 30 problematic shipments out of 1400 was actually very good. I am not agreeing with him, but this is the rationale he gave.
Despite this, for the last 3 months Ideaspatcher has been unable to ship any games I have had with them, despite numerous requests and phone calls.
On Sept. 17th I receive this communication from Yanis:
"Hi Steve,
Deeply sorry for all of this mess. After weeks of negotiation with the partner, the situation has been solved on Thursday.
What happened ?
We
asked our partner in France and US to refund us for the problems we had
with them lately. However, they did not want to do it and took all of
our goods in hostage (When I send ours it includes yours). Everything is
solved now and we have new partners everywhere so that kind of problem
will never happen again.
What I suggest to make it right to you :

Please
note that Ideaspatcher will become a new entity soon, with partners
everywhere, a new name, and a new team entirely dedicated to our service
and customer support. And as a customer of Ideaspatcher if you choose
to work with our new company you will have better prices and special
service of course.

On Sept. 27th I then received a call from UPS. I was told Duhmal Logistics had shipped
all ~440 remaining copies of our Nova Cry games to a UPS warehouse, and from
there was scheduled to be delivered to my home residence. I never
requested this. I was told I would be charged with lift gate
fees as well as re-consignment fees if I wanted to send the pallets elsewhere. I called Ideaspatcher about this and they apologized and said not to worry. I am not surprised if this was Duhmal's way of wiping
their hands clean and getting the product out of their hands. Ideaspatcher promised they would take care of the re-consignment fees and send it to a new fulfillment center.
This evening I spoke with Yanis and he said that finally, more than a month later of the pallets sitting at UPS, the remaining inventory is in transit to MDP, a new fulfillment center in New Jersey. Yanis also said he will be "attacking" Duhamel Logistics with lawyers and that Duhamel is "illegally blocking" Ideaspatcher from all inventory and shipments that is rightfully theirs. I have about 40 some copies still at the Brussels hub with Duhamel, and I don't know how soon or if I am going to be able to get them. However, the pallets that are on their way to MDP, to the best of my knowledge, are thankfully no longer in control by Duhamel.
I will provide another update when I have more info. I hope Ideaspatcher can fix this asap and have my inventory at MDP within a few days otherwise I will have to find a new fulfillment center.

Hi Backers,
This update is for those who still haven't received your pledge. To the best of my knowledge this is about 20-25 of you. I have mentioned your specific requests to Ideaspatcher several times, but they have been unable to get their U.S. hub to fulfill these in a timely fashion.
I received this communication from them:
"Hi Steve,
The fulfillment partner in the US is not
responding to my email and I changed to another one ( faster and more
concious). I plan to visit them on Wednesday to see what's going on.

Please continue to send your requests/concerns to [email protected]. I have been told by some of you that you have not received any responses, but this is unfortunately the only point of communication I was given.
One way or another I will do my best to make sure everyone receives their pledge!

Never Got the Expansion? You Can Get It Today!

Hi Backers,
If you never
purchased the expansions for Nova Cry and would like to do so, now would be a great time to pick them up during our 2nd printing of Nova Cry Kickstarter which launched today! We received a lot of requests through Backerkit and Paypal
for the game even after the Kickstarter was done, so we have decided to move
quickly on this demand.
We also have early bird pledges if you have friends who missed out on our last campaign and would like to get in now!
As far as our current campaign goes, we are
wrapping things up (except for a few final shipping issues with specific backers) and I’m sad to see it end! I am glad to hear how many of you
are enjoying the game as well as the production quality. Thank you for the
praise and enthusiasm—it is relieving to see all that hard work in its final
form.

Packages are On Their Way!

Hi Backers,
My fulfillment company has confirmed that the first wave of EU packages have gone out (about 350), and the second wave will start tomorrow.
The U.S. shipments will begin Tuesday because the packages are being upgraded to a stronger carton. (The EU packages have the stronger box as well, but the U.S. shipment arrived later than the EU shipment).
Delivery times are 1 week max for US and EU, and 10 days for rest of the world.
Regardless, shipping has begun!

Hi Backers,
I spoke with Ideaspatcher (our fulfillment company) and they gave me a breakdown of how much longer we will have to wait for the boats. We had an ETA of March 26th for the EU shipment and the 28th for the US, but they reminded me that "It was [just] an estimation of arrival. Some delays can occurs for some reasons
beyond our control (inspection, "traffic jam etc."). Especially just
after the CNY..." I wasn't given anything more specific than that for the boat delay.
Our new delivery estimates are as follows...
Timeline for EU + ROW backers :
- ETA Boat : Next Tuesday, I am already preparing the customs paperwork so it will go smoothly
- Going through the customs = +3 days
- Delivery from the customs to our warehouse + 3 days
- Receiving your goods + dispatching them one week and half
- Delivery time : 1 week Maximum for EU country, 10 days Maximum for ROW
Timeline for the US shipment
- ETA :Next Thursday
- Going through the customs = +3 days
- Delivery from the customs to our warehouse + 3 days
- Receiving your goods + dispatching them = +one week and half
- Delivery time : + 1 week Maximum
